In 2021, we set out to revolutionize the cake industry with a clear vision: to create perfectly portioned, Instagram-worthy, and irresistibly delicious lunchbox cakes. And just like that, Stressed But Backwards was born! What started as Montreal’s first lunchbox cake company has since blossomed into a full-service bakery. Today, we specialize in crafting customizable cakes for every occasion and in any size, ensuring your celebrations are as sweet as they are memorable.
WHO ARE WE?
Two Virgos—perfectionists with a sprinkle of chaos. If you know us, you know we’re always giggling, always on time, and always multitasking. Stressed But Backwards started as an excuse to spend more time together, but it quickly became something much bigger. If there’s one thing we’ve learned along the way, it’s that a business, much like cake, is best when shared.

OUR NAME?
Stressed spelled backward is Desserts—a name that couldn’t be more fitting for a company born during our student days. Sweets were our go-to cure for every stressful moment, and now, we’re here to share that same remedy with you!
CAKE NAMES?
When we first started, we sold our cakes directly through Instagram, connecting with each client through endless DMs. We learned their stories, their favorites, and their celebrations—it felt like we were making new besties with every order! So, naming our products after our most supportive cake lovers just felt like the perfect way to honour them.

But while Funfetti quickly stole the spotlight, we didn’t stop there. We’ve continued to push boundaries, crafting new flavors to make every bite as unforgettable as the last!
